Safety
Each camp within the Glamping Village is surrounded by an electric fence for the purpose of keeping the dangerous game out. The fence cannot keep snakes, spiders and other small critters out. These are part of the adventure of being in the bush!
Game Drives
- The Leadwood Safari Camp offers professional guided game drives and has access to a large private concession which is not open to the public.
- Where do we meet to go on the drives?
- Guests staying in the Glamping Units in the Main Camp meet at reception
- Guests staying at either the Camplet or Adventure Camp are collected at their camps
- See Activities page for other details
Other Activities
- There are no mountain biking or hiking routes within the game reserve (as it is home to the Big 5).
- The safari camp is not suitable for running or cycling.
- Guided walks can be arranged with advanced bookings. Guided walks are conducted by an external company, with the starting point being at Arlington Brewery, which is about a 40 minute drive away from Leadwood.
