The Leadwood Safari Company is owned and run by husband and wife team Jonathan and Anna Klynhans. Jonathan’s South African hustle and Anna’s American flair are embedded in everything we do at Leadwood. 

The company was started with the vision of providing one-of-a-kind glamping safari experiences across multiple exclusive destinations in South Africa.

The goal of our camps has always been to limit the barriers between us and the environment, allowing your senses to be immersed by all the sights, smells and sounds of the wilderness. Our camp in The Dinokeng Game Reserve is our first camp, with more to come. Stay tuned.

The Leadwood Safari Camp is a glamping village situated within the Dinokeng Big 5 Game Reserve (DGR) and offers a premium and completely unique glamping experience. 

We are the only glamping experience in the Dinokeng Game Reserve that offers accommodation in luxury bell tents. Each tent forms part of a private glamping site, with its own private amenities. 

Our purpose is to ensure that our guests walk away with a memorable bush experience by minimising the barriers between ourselves and nature. We set ourselves apart from traditional safari accommodation without losing some of those time-honored quirks which are so firmly a part of our desire to be in the African wilderness.
